I did a group ride sponsored by Giant for Women. Because it was a big group, it took us a while to go 17 miles but by that point we'd broken up into smaller groups and so we completed the remaining 27 miles a lot faster, thank goodness. Plus I got to practice riding in the wind and also our route has this awesome descent. I just love to go down... hills.

Another 111 degree heat index this afternoon @ 90% humidity (It rained on the way to the trail)... 9.27 miles on the trails (1720' of Climb) About the toughest training run of my life... I consumed 180 Ounces of fluid throughout the run and had still lost 2 pounds by the time I got home! Just about impossible to stay hydrated in the Sauna. THAT WAS A TOUGH FRIGGIN RUN!!!

That puts me at over 50 miles ran this week, my first official week back to training since surgery! I will take it! 60 miles on the plate next week.

Heat Wave in Puget Sound - temps 90-100, so me and the family headed out to our favorite spot along Hood Canal.
Just back.

Saturday/Sunday workouts the same.

5K route, with a PR Saturday.
Jet Skiing - all day...not sure if that counts, but it is hard work, and the booty feels it!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Much needed rest day for me.  I was exhausted.  Then I realized it was probably time for a B12 shot.  Feeling much more alive tonight, so tomorrow's run should be pretty good
