I've been lurking for a while. You guys are really motivating and inspiring.

My name is Jessica. I'm 32, been married for 14 years and have two sons.

I had RNY 2/12/08 - my highest weight was 291 and I have been maitaining around 150 for over a year now.

I want to keep the weight off for a lifetime and I know that I must include exercise in my life to achieve this.

I've gone through phases since WLS - eliptical @ gym, gym step or lift classes, zumba, but lately I have started running and it feels great. Recently when I was out running I remembered that when I was 290 I use to tell my husband,"I just want to run.. I wish I could run..." and now I am. It feels so good.

This Saturday I will be running in my first 5k! I am excited and nervous. Next month I will be running in a 10k.

Welcome! I just started running myself, and I remember telling my husband the same thing pre-op. Isn't it a surreal feeling to be doing things you never really thought possible before?

I look forward to hearing about your race results!

Welcome ... Glad you are here. The trick to sticking with it is just find something you enjoy and do it religiously.

Even though no one will come knocking on your door if you don't post your workouts, I still find that posting on the daily workout thread is a great accountability tool.

Welcome, and good job on the running!
