 Okay How did we do?
Day 1 25 minutes 1.36 mi
Day 2 25 minutes 1.35 mi
Day 3 25 minutes 1.38 mi (walk 3mph Jog 4mph)
Target Race I am actively looking for the right race. Hoping for early to mid October.

So, this week wasn't as hard to be motivated to get moving. I do have to say that at the end of the 25 min, I am having trouble jogging, so I am not sure I will be able to complete week 3 day 1 as intended. I will just keep at it until I conquer it! How about You?

Remember it is not about how fast we get there, it is all about the finish!

I still have one more day to do tomorrow. I took Monday off so I got a little behind.

This week I did 33 min 2 miles
jogged 90 sec, walked 2.5 min

My heartrate was up and it actually felt good. I actually think this program works!! Got two other friends who are going to start next week. Fun.

That is fantastic! I think the more support you have, the better! My husband is doing it with me and that helps me stay motivated on the long term goal.

I'll finish up Week 2 tomorrow.   Wellllll... actually if I'm feeling any energy tonight after working 13 hours yesterday and today there's a small chance I could do it tonight and start Week 3 on Sunday.  Typically Sunday would be a day off but I have to work Monday next week soooo....

Looking ahead to Week 4... it's two repetitions of 3' run/3' walk and 5' run/5' walk!!  Yikes!  It's a little daunting to think about.... 5 minutes straight?  LOL... too early to worry about it yet but still can't help knowing it's coming and wondering if it'll be doable in a little over a week, ya know?

I typed up the running schedule yesterday and thought the same exact thing. As a matter of fact, I am a little intimidated of the 3 minute run this week! YIKES! I am trying not to get too psyched out! Good Luck on your runs. You cauhgt up in no time!

Yeah, I hear ya... I'll be pleasantly surprised (and thrilled!) if I can run 3 straight minutes already.  That's why 5 minutes is so daunting LOL!

I finished week 3 yesterday and I have to say it wasn't that bad! I actually got into a rhythm and forgot about what I was doing! I am cautiously looking forward to week 4... I can't wait to see how I do with the 5 min runs!

I did my first day of week 3 today, and I was suprised at how well I did with it. Did I finish the full threes? No, I took a short 5 second breather once on the first one, and twice on the second one, and I slowed @ 60 second of jog speed down 2/10 of a mile on run #2, but I DID IT!!!! By the end of the week, I am confident i will be trotting along. =) Let us know next week what you think of week 4!

I just finished wk 4. I have been doing the weeks twice before I move on. I was already to move on to week 5 when I got a sinus infection, so with my balance being off and the coughing, I haven't been able to run. I think I am going to repeat wk 4 a third time. It actually took me a couple trys to get through the final 5 minutes but I did it. I am running in my first 5k on 8/22.

Hang in there, we can do it.
