Yeah that was the idea.

At this point in time I am very interested, but am just starting running 5Ks so I will have to play it by ear, but it seems like a great goal for me.

Amy, you absolutely could do it if you want to.  You have a year and a half to train for it.
We'd love to have as many people participate as possible.
There are many programs out there to help you get through a 1/2 for full marathon.

Congrats on starting the 5k's, that's a great place to start.

Also, there is a 5k on Thurs. if you are intimidated by doing a Half or Full Marathon. Or maybe you can entice a family member into running by getting them to train for the 5k.

Great idea...I don' t think my Mom is upto the 5K, but I might have a couple friends who I could entice!  Thanks for the info!

What programs do you recommend for going the next step.  I LOVED couch to 5K.

I think there is a couch to 10K extension...

I am currently following a Hal Higdon Half training program, and it's pretty good.  I'm doing an intermediate, but I'm sure his beginner one is great too.  I know that if you google him, he's got a lot of free programs for each distance.

Read my blog, BARIATHLETE   I run because I can.

Too much new stuff in my life, but I think this is a very possible scenario for me.  My (soon-to-be) wife was with me when I had to pull out at mile 9 of the full attempting the Goofy.  She knows I'd like to complete this and she thinks she may want to too.  All you guys in one spot could be one hell of a party!

I'll put you and your wife down as maybe, just for a possible total count.

I think it would be a blast having us all in one place at the same time.  It would be great to meet everyone face to face.
