GOOD MORNING SATURDAY WORKOUTS!

For whatever reason, maybe too much grunting going up my hills, but I have had a stiff neck and shoulder/trap muscle for the past week! But I am determined to feel good for my Half next Saturday.

Did a 5K route this morning, down to the Ferry dock and back. Rolling hils with a couple of steep ones.
Pace 9:52 . .. so I am on target to finish my Half in about 2:30.

What are you all doing today???
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

I ran with my group only did a 5 K. I wussed out! I have only been running for the last month no Zumba and I am shocked at how hard my runs are becoming! I guess I was getting more benefit from Zumba that I thought! I better find another cross training activity pronto!

Went for a killer hike today in the PA Grand Canyon...not sure what the start elevation was (I'll get that from my hiking parnter) but our end elevation was 2100 feet.  Was the craziest two hours...it was practically straight up - whcih means straight down...and TONS of bushwacking...I'm pretty sure we were making up parts of the "trail"....good times though!!

Shorter run weekend for me this weekend. Ran 9 miles from San Francisco to Sausalito. got frustrated by all the tourists on the bridge as they slowed me down but all in all a good run.

Had a hard time getting started but glad I went.

Keep on keeping on.
