My race is Sat. so I'm doing my last pre-race workout. I did some Kettlebell swing stuff. 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off for 15 min.

I'll probably do something on Thurs. but something really light and then that will be it until the race!

Trailing in late at 1 am,.. but I got my first 5 mi jaunt in after work today in about 2 years. I was scared to go the route again but it was after work so I was on no time crunch to get back to the office if I crashed and burned.  I was amazed when I went 10 mins the first leg before feeling the desparate need to slow-down/walk, and wound up doing 10 min jog/2 min walk, 12 jog/2 walk x2, 12 jog/10walk, 5 jog finish with a 3 min cool down walk and some stretching.  Still pitifully slow as I am striving to at least get back to my 10 min mile pace from 2yrs ago but 65 mins total to avg 13 min miles overall was very satisfying progress.  Not near as bad as I feared.  99 degrees outside, it felt a lot cooler as there was some breeze and periodic shade along the route.
