Did a short brick workout this morning, 6.5 mile bike in around 24 minutes, then I did my little mock transition and put on the garmin for the run and ran 2 miles in 17:50. I have my long bike rides on Saturday so I was still tired and sore from yesterday's ride, but I know in time my body will get used to it.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Went to the Wellness Center this afternoon and the air conditioner was down! But...I was there, so I went ahead and did my workout, even added on some weights. I definitely had to rehydrate after THAT workout! Whew!

Rode my bike 8.5 miles to get it serviced today.  Ran 4.65 miles home from the bike shop.  Hot and sticky, although the last mile running was in a torrential downpour.  Soaking wet by the time I arrived at my doorstep.

I know what you mean... when I first started, I'd do 1500 yards in the pool in an hour. And be exhausted.

It may not sound like much, but boy are my arms and back sore...went to the beach today and went out on the surfboard for a few hours....tried to catch a lot but really only stood up on one...it sure is a great arm, shoulder and back workout...
