oh forget to say I walk on odd and run on even number of laps. This way I don't lose count and remember what I need to do each lap.

Good heavens, you are dedicated. I'm lucky to cram in 45 minutes to an hour of exercise in a day.  I don't think I'd spend as much time as you do in the gym even if I could. You are *definitely* addicted.  It's obviously paying off for you!

Did a 45 mi bike ride. I wanted to take on Old La Honda one last time before my AquaBike event next weekend.

The craziest thing happened... when I got to the top, there were 4 people from my club there waiting. That *never* happens. On these Sat. rides, once I get dropped, I stay dropped. I lost them again doing down the hill (I made a wrong turn which didn't help) but then I found them again at the next regroup point!

At that point, they went a different way from me (longer ride) so I rode back to the start point alone, but I was still in a pretty good mood.

I got my first look at the half Iron course on my 56-mile bike ride today.  After a 2-mile warm-up, the next 10 miles are uphill.  I suspect this test will spread the pack out very quickly come race day.

I over slept this morning and messed up my whole day; went back to bed after my 4:30 am post at 6 am and slept till 10:15.  Didn't have uncommitted minute unitl 11:15 tonight,...and even if I had, it was 108degrees here in the Heights today and hard to breath sitting. SO I missed my workout today. Hope to do better Sunday (tomorrow) but its suppose to be hotter here tomorrow too.  We'll see.
Youse folks that got out there did some good stuff,.... )#)*##(!(&^%&&&# pacesetters!!!!!

Very humid here this morning, too. Went for a walk about 6:30 and was drenched when I got back. I've been reading about interval training. I live in a very hilly area, so I walked to one of the steepest hills and walked up and down it a few times, then I walked to another one and walked up and down it a few times, then walked back home, alternating between very fast walking and "rest" walking. It did feel like a good workout, we'll see how the results are after I've done it for a few weeks. Did the same thing the last time I did lap swimming - two lengths regular speed, two lengths much faster. I'm trying to jump start and get the last 30 lbs. off.
