Got out early again this morning (5am) and ran 10-miles.  It's humid out there, but the temperature is expected to rise above 100 degrees today.  That's hot anywhere, add in the humidity and I'm glad I've gotten my exercise in this morning.

I did 2 miles this morn at 6 am, it was cool bright and absolutely beautiful. I saw a barn owl on the nature reserve I run round, what a fantastic start to the day. I seriously have to work on upping my speed now, I run no faster than a brisk walker - at about 4mph, just a sharp reminder that I've still a long way to go!!!

5k run and 30 minutes walking ...just got back from vacation and happy to say I managed to get exercise into just about every day. It was mostly walking but still managed to run 2 of the 8 days I was gone.

I had a horrible 6 mile run this morning. I didn't go outside until after 9. It was hot and humid and I just wasn't feeling up to it. 11 min pace when I was shooting for sub 10. Someone broke my truck window at the mall yesterdday and stole my daughters purse and atm card. Guess that was weing on my mind too much, but I can't make excuses. I have to suck it up and get to work at getting better.

Cruddy 10 mile run. Like above poster, I was out on the roads around 9:45. Of course this weekend is supposed to be our "nicest" (which means HOT) so far this summer. By mile 3 I was sweating. By mile 8 I was giving up the thought of making this a 12 mile run.
Worst pace I have had in months and months and months!

Pace: 10:58
Time 1:49

Not how I wanted my long run before my half on the 7th to go   !!!

Hoping the  heat played a role, and not that missing workouts last week has totally messed me up. Just a bit discouraged ...

Oh well..  Happy Saturday anyways!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

went to ballys this morning and walk/run the track for 13 laps (equals 1 mile) then did 200 crunches and 100 push ups on the ball, then went on the cross ramp machine for 65 min then another 13 laps walk/run, then 200 crunches then another 13 laps walk/run. Usually I do either weight machines or another cardio machine. But I was just exhausted today. Been working hard getting in my laps. I am getting ready for child obesity walk/run its 5 miles. Never done one before. I post it under preparing for a childhood obesity walk. I put my workout for this past week back to Sunday when I start the track. Yesterday I did get in 4 sets of 13 laps. and I also did the stair master, cross ramp and the weight machines as well. Wednesday July 28th is my 1 yr surgery anniversary. i can't believe I have lost almost 175 lbs wow! And how hard I am exercising. I am there for 2 to 3 hours a day 7 days a week. one day I was there for 4 hours. Guess I got a new addiction the gym and lots of exercise. tomorrow is my weight training day so will need to mix that up with some cardio as well. I just bought some new balance cross trainers shoes. I was debating on running shoes or cross trainers. And ended up getting the cross trainers. I only wear them in the gym otherwise I wear my sketcher shape ups. I was using them on the machines and even on the track but when I start the track notice my feet were bothering me so I went out and got the new balance cross trainers even got them on sale as well as another paif of shape ups can't pass up a good bargin.
