This morning I ran 4 miles and decided it would be a great idea to sprint the straight stretches for one mile of my run. My poor knee has been so sore today. I'm hoping it's just a sore muscle, but I am taking a rest day tomorrow.

I think I'll hold off on trying to sprint until I am closer to goal. :(

Its a mazing how much those spints kick my butt.  My legs have been sore all week after last mondays 8 laps, but my ability to go further in less time with less walking has been getting better by a minute or two all week.  I go to 3 mi in 35 mins Friday and was shocked.  Monday I get to do sprints again.  How did I use to do this twice a week???

Aside: I take two potassium pills each morning with my viitamin regiment and at night I started taking a magnesium tablet last year after reading an article in Runners World about hamstring and calf pain relief and evening leg cramping during  rest after traning runs.  The magnesium really seems to make a difference for me.
