RAIN (Ride Across INdiana) Bike Ride Event 160 miles (Pics Included)

You guys are an inspiration.  I've been wanting to do the RAIN since I heard about it last year, even before I started seriously contemplating WLS.

Maybe I will be up to doing it in the next couple of years.

 You should do it next year!  My longest training ride before the RAIN was 80 miles, although it was a hillier ride than the RAIN.  Also, here in Bloomington in October is the two day Hilly 100 ride.  It's 50 miles each day with some tough hills and beautiful scenery.  Come on up and give it a try.

Well the longest ride I have done so far was 36 miles, and that was when I hit an absolute exhaustion.  Of course that was also before my WLS and at about 385lbs.

I've not really started any distance riding yet since I am so short after surgery, I road 16 miles a couple of weeks ago and it was WAY to much.  I am hoping to get more riding in in the coming weeks, but as far as longer rides in the next year I need to see how my body reacts first.

Ideally I am thinking about doing three events in the next 8 months: 22 miles in August, 36 in October and a metric in March.  Though at this point the metric still seems a long way off.
