I'm just about 1 month post op and starting to feel more comfortable and increasing my activity.  Given the heat I decided to rent Mario Tennis for the Wii for me and the kids to play.

I cannot believe my right bicep/tricep muscles actually HURT from playing!!

Besides that, I am starting to do work outs at the gym.  I am looking for suggestions for a good playlist to load onto my mp3 player for when I work out.

Anyone have a list that is good for keeping you going and a good beat to match while doing the treadmill?

I'm doing a mile on the treadmill and then about 10 minutes of light weights on my arms and legs (still no core work...)

Suggestions?

Hello DJ Dan, thanks for the assistance!  I like pop/rock, like Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, Katy Perry most of the 'new' music that's out there.  But I'm also a child of the 80's so I love Depeche Mode, Devo, and stuff like that.

My dislikes are rap that entails 'strong' lyrics.  And some country music that borders on the kind of whining my kids do to me all day...

Does that help?

Here are a few I ran to this morning that gave me a boost!

Never There - Cake
Dying Day - Brandi Carlile
Uprising - Muse
Runaway - Bon Jovi
Now You're Gone - Basshunter
All I Ever Wanted - Basshunter
Bamboo Banga - M.I.A.
Meet Me Half Way - Haste the Day
Alejandro - Lady GaGa

I'm looking forward to seeing suggestions from others. I need to refresh my list!

I use stuff that give me a good rythym for my jogging; I copy the CDs to my PC the edit out the slow stuff before loading to my MP3.  I really like John Fogerty, ZZ Top, Evanesence, Billy Joel, Cars, ELO, Beatles (Revolution is GREAT!), Bachman Turner Overdrive, Madison Project, and then some classic stuff I copied from 45s to PC, like Frankestein Hot Rod Lincoln, Smokin in the Boys Room, Clap for the Wolfman, Get it On, Sweet Hitch-Hiker,.....stuff like that.
Whatever gets your motor going is what you should use.

I use Pat benatar, Journey, Foreigner, Styx, aerosmith, AC/Dc for my workout. I mix it up everyday, do the shuffle thing. But I am still a fairly new wls person and I started real slow at first.

Keep working!  cynthia
