Sunday Workouts

Well, after yesterday's 50-mile bike ride, I wasn't sure if I'd actually be able to finish my 13-mile run this morning.  So, I parked my bike at the 9-mile mark, just in case.  It was a wise move.  I ran out of steam by mile 9 and happily hopped on my bike for the 4-mile ride to finish the loop.

What was your Sunday fun?

Wow! 9 mile run -- that's so awesome. Hope to be able to do that some day. :)

I got in a 2 mile run mostly uphill and a 1.8 mile walk.

You're making great progress.  I started in the same place as you did about 4 years ago.  With the first 5K, I was hooked.  Keep up the great work!

Well today I did 31 mile bike ride with fairly intense hills.  Was extremely humid, and after yesterday's long run it took everything I had to complete it.  Just wish the humidity would find another place to park, but it looks like we get at least another week of it.

Now Cassie, did you run out of steam because your bike was there at 9-miles, or would you have run out of steam anyway?

Rob, the mind was willing, but the body was tired.   I actually took my cell phone with me on the run, just in case I had to call my husband to pick me up before I got to my bike.    Two days of heat and humidity zapped me, so I played it safe.  Now, if there was a medal waiting at the end ....

Cassie, I know what you mean...Sunday was a wasted day for me after the bike ride.  Totally zapped from the humidity.  Even thought I stayed hydrated it sure didn't feel like it after the ride.
Your right about the bling helping with the motivation.
