Well, I always have this whole strategy planned out, how fast my pace will be at certain points, when I take water etc etc - its the engineer in me coming out - of course when the gun goes off, all that goes out the window and I just run as fast as I can!  :)

Thanks everyone. I'll try to trust in my training, but it still feels like I'm not ready.

You will do GREAT!!!!  And no matter what your time....YOU DID IT.  You accomplished something you never thought you could do.  That is usually my motivation.  Knowing that I am doing something that most people are not even brave enough to try.  I am doing my first 1/2 in February.  Princess half marathon at Disney World.  Scared out of my mind....so you will have to give me pointers.... :)
Good luck and let us know how you did!!!

Thanks.  DisneyWorld sounds like a really fun place to run a half.  Best of luck to you.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Enjoy yourself! (That's my advice. Heh.)

I hear you on eating while running. I can only drink when I run. Even the gels sometimes get to me, though not as bad as anything that involves chewing.
