Just got back from another soupy 4.5 mile run.  Didn't pu**** too hard because we have a 40-mile bike ride this afternoon.  What did you do today?  Just found out we have a new business in downtown Wilmington called the Bike Botique.  They are a full-service bike shop, but in addition provide bike lodging and spinning classes.  Very popular in Europe, hopefully they'll succeed.  Worst thing is they don't open till 7:30am.  I've put in half a day by then.

Just got back from a 4 mile hilly walk. Came home to a house of slumbering males, pugs, and cats.

I ran the Utica 15K Boilermaker today in 1:36.  It wasn't my fastest time, but I'm satisfied with the results since I didn't taper going into the race.  I ran it as my long run for my half Iron training plan, which worked nicely.

For me, this is always an emotional race, because it's the one that lured me into running 4 years ago.  I'm sure that if I hadn't found running to jump start an active lifestyle, I would be struggling to keep my weight off.

Great time!  That is a pretty race according to a friend of mine down here who has run it a couple of times.  Good luck with that half-iron.

Open Water Swim with the club today. I went about 1.5 miles in about 48 min. A bit slower than I've been doing but the water was choppy and had more current than the place I usually swim at.

Run/walk 2.5 miles.  Wasn't going to do anything, but felt lame about it, so I did my short route and surprised myself by deciding to run a bunch of it.  First time running since the 10K!
