I have not been posting as much I should be, this summer has been a busy one.  I just wanted to take time to reflect.  I am 6 months and 1 day out from having RNY and am doing so great!!!  In looking back to where I was a year ago, it is amazing the changes that I have made.  Not only in my eating my fitness and health.  I would go to the beach every weekend, but now, I am actually doing things...I have gotten out and TRIED to surf, I would rather just lay there and paddle, but we will see.  I did get to my knees...but anyway, I am no longer winded carrying things from the car, no one has to wait for me.  It is such a great feeling.
I am also getting ready to run my first 5k on Sat the 10th of July and that is just amazing to me!!!  I feel so good and so healthy, I LOVE the new me!!!!
My eating has changed a lot too, not just the amount but what I put in my body, I feel so healthy all over. Now I am not saying I don't have the occasional bite of something naughty, but that is all I need, just a nibble and I am happy.  I love that.
I am still losing, I am happy with my progress, I may be a little slower than others, but I have no hanging skin (at the moment), and that makes me happy.  I was looking over the papers my NUT gave me and remember my first appointment with her after the surgery, she told me I was
about 5 pounds or so behind where I was supposed to be at that time, well looking at the sheets again, she wanted me to be down 67 pounds at 6 months, well I am now down 77 pounds...so hahahahaha
Anyway, thanks to all that have read this and know that even though I don't post often I am always looking for new ideas and motivation, so I am always lurking around.
I hope everyone has a had a great 4th of July weekend and keep on track you won't regret it!!!!
