HELP!! My big toe hurt

Yes I said my big toe. the outside..I feels like I am getting a blister but it has not formed yet. It hurts. I cannot afford to let it stop me from my walks, that is the only real exercise I get. Any suggestion? Good walking shoes? Not $100 ones I am on a small budget. 

 good socks can help (might not cost as much as new shoes), I know the budget is tight but sometimes you have to invest - it should give you more motivation.  

I do understand the budget issues (I'm a student), but one thing I've come to know is that spending a little extra on something better is almost always a better deal anyway.  

As far as shoes go, if you don't get the best ones for you/your feet it often ends up with needing new/different ones sooner or getting an injury that is more costly in more ways than one.

Sometimes having someone check your walking/gait pattern and giving pointers can help also if you have access to an exercise physiologist, physical therapist, or running coach.  Most of them have free consults and are willing to help.

Just checking...It hurts from the walking you've done.  You have eliminated the possibility of gout.  The reason I'm asking is gout usually effects the big toe most.

 What is Gout?? *pulling up Google now*

I do not think it is that... it is like i am getting a blister on the outside of my big toe.. looks like a little bruise.


Is this TMI??
