With extreme heat warnings in effect, the stupids were out early.  We ran 3.2 miles to the library and back, and then hopped on our bikes for a 16-mile semi-hilly ride.  I'm pooped and drained.

warmed up with a 1.25 mile walk with the dog, then attempted a 6 mile run that turned into a 2 mile run and 1/2 mile walk.

Other than a few more miles walking the dog, I guess that's it.  Humidity beats my lungs every time.  Should make next week's 10k a real trip.

A quick 4 mile run. Was surprised I had the energy to do it at 8:38 pace. That's usually my 3 mile pace. Good for me

Have a good one.

Today was the 5K run and the temperature was 91 with humidity when we finished. Several runners that were in  the top three male/female categories needed help once through the chute. We were soaked in sweat. I was only one minute behind my usual 29 minutes, so I wasn't too discouraged. I just kept telling myself "you are a runner, do NOT walk". It got me to the finish line!
Once back home I rode my bike for 45 minutes.
The rest of the day has been restful.
