my first ride

 Was able to take my first ride on a real road bike.  Wow.. it was a bit intense, especially going down the hills.  Climbing also was harder than I thought.  Was able to clip in without any issues.  Thanks much for the  tips about the padded shorts!  

OK, so I look ridiculous, but I'm having fun!

Not at all.  Ridiculous is being huge and not able to get up off  the couch unless headed to the refrigerator.

Congrats on the bike ride.  That is a nice looking bike, and the orange shirt goes good with the bike colors.  Remember if you can't be good, at least look good!!!!

SWEEEEEET! Ok let's talk for a minute. You really need to work on getting a true, hardened cyclist farmer's tan, lose the mountain bike shoes, and take the visorr off your helmet so people dont mistake you for a nutty mountain bike dude. LOLOL! Anyways, congrats bro, glad you had fun and it just gets better...

 Hey man, I just went with what the bike shop guy recommended...  They are a Specialized dealer so I guess the helmet was never gonna match, and the shoes... well I have these giant flippers, so I had to go with what would fit, but actually I kind like them.  I am still smiling ear to ear from the ride, I can't wait for the morning to get out there and hit it.. gonna try and see how far and fast I can go.

nice, i fought the fashion **** with bike riding forever, it kinda just wears on you, eventually you wake up and you're wearing matching bike shorts, jerseys, and helmet.... crazy.  anyway, you're going to love riding....

I am working my way up, mentally, into investing and committing to a bike. I think I will wait till I accomplish my first Half, then start browsing....
