New Here
Hi everyone. I'm not new to OH, but am new to the exercise board. I had RNY about 2 1/2 years ago and still have not reached goal...sooooooooooo since I've been doing cardio (walking and Zumba), but not strength training(don't really know what to do), I've decided to get the help of a personal trainer and step up my game...hopefully this will help jump start the weight loss again. Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and hopefully will get dome ideas, support and motivation.
Hello and welcome!!!!

Welcome to the board and good luck with your training.
What helped me bust my stall to reach goal.
1. log all of my food
2. mix up the workouts and increase the intensity. Something as simple as adding a couple minutes of elliptical trainer after my treadmill time. Of 10-15 minutes of light weight did the trick every time.
A trainer is a great thing as long as they don't mess with your food or Dr's plan. Too many of them don't have a clue about what your life is like post surgery. They will try to apply their standard program to you.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
I know, I talked to a few trainers who kept saying up your carbs, double your calories...NOT! Anyway my gym has someone that specializes in WLS patients, so he will only be changing my exercise routine, nothing else...although, I think he doesn't like me and is secretly trying to kill me LOL. As I said, I've never done any strength training and my muscles are revolting!
