My husband bought me a garmin forerunner 50 and I love it...my question is I got the foot pod as well, did anyone have to calibrate it or was it good to go?  I tracked 3.1 miles with my car, but the Garmin says something different...which should I go by?  Personally I hope the Garmin is right!!!

Thanks,
Erin

The Garmin 50 I believe IS NOT GPS enabled. I would believe the car over a non GPS device. The reason why is because your Gait or Stride.... Everyone is different and each persons stride length changes depending on speed and turn-over. I would use the foot pod as an approximater, but not as "accurate". Have fun!!!
