Fathers Day Workouts!!!

I just got back from my long run of the year.  It was 8.2 miles and was overall pretty awful.  I now remember why I had no plans to do a half this year.  ;)  I am getting ready for an 11.6 mile race that I do every year on the first Sat in August.  For all you New Englanders - it's FREE!!!  Usually draws about 250-300 people.  Takes Place at Ocean Beach Park in New London, CT.

Anyway, I hope all you fathers have a wonderful day.

What did you do today?
Scott

It was a hot and humid 7.25 mile run today, made all the better because I shared the misery with 13 other nuts.

4 miles in pea soup humidity.  Was just thinking I was glad not to have anything planned after July 4th since this weather sucks for everyone, and then add my asthma.

Now you mention a FREE race.  Let's see how the summer goes!  :)

2000 meters in the pool this morning.

I was planning to run this afternoon, but the family hijacked me and made me go eat bad stuff.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!

Hopped on the bike at 5am this morning to beat the humidity.  Got in just over 30-miles before I decided to call it quits.  Enjoyed being a father the rest of the day.

I was a bad wife this morning and went to the gym for a spin class and short recovery run (legs still a little sore from Friday's run) before work.  I did make up for it by cooking a nice dinner though...

Another 5K run this morning along the Hood Canal. But today I couldn't talk the teen's into going with me. Still a good pace!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
