I'm at the hospital today saving lives one MRI at a time.  Being on call means you don't know how long you'll have to work but I'll try to get some kind of workout done even if it's just the stairs several times.  Going to try to get a full body weight lifting workout done later this evening.

I'm slugggish here also.  Started out this morning wanting to get in a run, but switched to my bike when I felt the humidity.  Biked 23 miles.

Biked 25 miles, then a 1-hour open water swim.

It's a shame my GPS doesn't work in the water.  The route would have looked like a beautiful spirograph design since I couldn't seem to swim in a straight line.

I did a wet and fairly flat 5k this morning along the hood canal. We are on a camping trip so I talked my daughter and a couple of 17 year old boys into running with me. PR pace 9:57
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

completed my 2nd century ride today (The Jackson County (GA) Brevet), hilly and very hot.  Total time just over 6 hours including the rest/aide station stops.  It was a great event and for a good cause.  i'm pretty dehydrated despite throwing down as much fluid as i could take during the ride, 95 and humid is no way to spend 6 hours in the saddle!  anyway, glad i did it and now i feel i'm good to go for the ride across indiana next month....
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
