Just starting out and need some advice!
Hi! I'm 14 months out from bypass and down 103 pounds. Just joined a gym and need some help determining what kind of exercise I should be doing. Today I did 15 min on the eliptical, 15 min on the recumbant bike and then some leg weight machines and some ab machines. When I do the machines I do 2 sets of 12 reps each. I ended the session with 10 more min on the bike. I have no idea if this is appropriate to help me lose the last 25 lbs and to tone the best I can. Anyone have any input I really appreciate the guidance!
Speaking from the point of being an authority on NOTHING, I would say this is a good start. Don't forget about doing some arm work, and slowly build up time on the elliptical. Good hard working cardio is what helped me lose the last of my weight.

Sounds to me like you are on the right track. Just don't do the same body parts for resistance training on back to back days. You could break the machines up into upper body days and lower body days or push days and pull days. Whatever works. 40 minutes of cardio a day is good.
