Well, I finally decided to send in my money and registration for my first 5k.  I am doing a Children's Network here in Virginia Beach, it is July 10th and I am already nervous.  My husband said he will run with me, he is such a great guy...he has bad knees but wants to be there for me and this is how he chose to do it...even if it means running slower.  I am excited but nervous...so any advice would be great!!!!

Awesome Erin!  There's nothing like that surge of pride when you cross that finish line for the first time.  Have fun.  If you make the mistake of going out too fast with the crowd, walk a little bit to reset your heart rate and pace and then keep on trucking!
