It's Crunchtime...
Man....
I can't believe this day is already here! The next couple of days are going to be big uns... Today I will be shooting film all day, which I hope will help take my mind off the MASSIVE surgery I am having tomorrow. A little over 2 years ago, when I first started visiting OH, who would have known I would be an Ultra Endurance athlete, Ironman, et****rtainly didn't know it at the time. Here I am today, a couple hundred pounds lighter, and am about to have all of the excess skin removed from my weight loss. It is scarry, exciting, and I am VERY intrigued to learn what my body actually looks like under all this. The surgeon seems to believe that I will Def have a 6-pack after surgery, so THAT WILL BE AWESOME, I am just a little about the recovery. It's funny now, the thing I am most concerned with is taking THAT much training time off (2 months) especially with Ironman Arizona looming in November. I know it's all good, and I know it will be worth it all in the end. I just want each and everyone of you to know how much ya'll mean to me, and how much of an inspiration you all serve as to me! It doesn't matter the distances you can or cannot run right now, the difference is that unlike 60-70% of ALL americans, you are being proactive about your health and fitness, and that is motivating to me! You all rock, and I may post something about my random thoughts before surgery, but if I don't, I will surely report back soon after surgery with some before and afters. I love and appreciate you all....

Good luck Dan, take care of yourself.
I wish you a speedy and comfortable recovery.
Enjoy the extra time you will have with your family, and don't worry at all that while you are slacking, your wife is getting faster and building a better base. It's not like she will run you into the ground or anything when you come back

Dan,
Good luck with the surgery and the filming. Since coming to the exercise and fitness forum, you have been an inspiration to me. I spent a whole lifetime avoiding exercise, and now I am embracing it, and you help me so much.
Wishing you all the best!
