I didn't see a thread already...

Today after work I rowed for 30 minutes (6818 meters) and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes...tapering sucks by the way  :)  And my piriformis (deep butt muscle) is feeling much better....keep your fingers crossed that it's good to go for Sunday!!

What're you people up to today????

What's your pace?  Maybe we should actually run together?  I think for this distance I'm gonna land around 10:40 overall.

my pace is "don't die in the first 10 miles because you've still got 3.1 left"

but for my longer runs I've been around 10:40-11:15...I'm not really sure.  I'm hoping to finish under 2:30...I don't know if that's good or bad or what...seriously though Sue, I haven't got much of a plan here other than go run, suck down some gu, run some more and don't quit.

We have the same EXACT plan.  I go with "just keep moving forward"  My goal is 2:30 also, which seems reasonable to me since I did a 10 mile in 1:46.   Of course, that was 2 months ago and haven't run that distance since.  Yeah, good times.  We'll do it, together!

Little 2 mile run this morning which was a bit rough since my hip/groin pain has expanded into abdominal pain that doesn't seem to be getting any better.  I am toying with taking a week off of all exercise and seeing if it improves at all.

Another power yoga class for me today. I have been working a lot of OT lately impeding with my return to running.  That's what happens when you have kids!

With rain and 50-degree temperatures, my group's open water swim/bike workout was cancelled.

So, I hit the pool for a 1700-yard swim - including intervals - sets of 400, 300, 200 and 100 with each set a little faster than the previous set.   I was so ready for the cool down after that last 100.
