I got up early so I could run before work since I know I do not have time after work. easy and quick 3 miles. I have a 12 k on Saturday so am trying to get some runs in this week but will rest Friday.I would like to get one long run in tomorrow; is it too close to race day to do 7 miles tomorrow?

2 mile walk at lunch - 3.7mph pace.  Feels good to slip that in!
UPDATE: added in some strength work tonight, and sit ups - cuz I need to do that stuff more!

NO, i would not run a 7 mile this close to a 12k race.  My last "long" run is usually a week before a race.  That's just me.  I'm running a 1/2 marathon Sunday and I ran 7miles on this past Sunday.  probably just walking and weights for me this week.
Read my blog, BARIATHLETE   I run because I can.

3rd meeting with my personal trainer after an 8 minute warmup on the elliptical. We met for an hour this time. She has me working on balance, core, and stomach muscles. I have to stand on these rubbery half circles. First time, I kept falling off. Today it was standing on a big rubber half circle while she tossed a ball to me. Thank G-d there was no video to post on you-tube!

Tuesday was 30 minutes on the treadmill.  I am recovering from surgery (not WLS) and am building up my stamina prior to going back to the personal torturer (I mean trainer).

Yesterdays workout consisted of Jane Sansone 1mile Walk @ Home and Jillian Michaels Turbo Tone (something like that) both on the FreeZone Cable station.

I think today will be a rest day since i get off work late.
