Race Day
Oh yeah I almost forgot. I took my 7 y/o to his first race this morning.
I had him run it in intervals. He would run 1/4 mile, walk .2 mile, rinse and repeat.
He did a great job for having a mom and dad with no running genes.
I actually got him to sprint and race me to the finish line. He edged me out right at the end

Fun times!
Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning inAfrica , a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Yeah, trying to do everything I can to make it fun for him. If it meant falling down so he could cross the finishline first, then that's what I would have done.
Anything I can do to encourage him to stay active. I don't want him to grow up the fat kid like I did. I want him to enjoy and want to exercise.
