A little over two miles on the treadmill at a snail's pace...walking killed me (mentally), but on the plus side my butt is feeling better already!

Hey Bill, the 70 miles that I rode yesterday was on the route for the RAIN. I rode from South Putnam Highschool at the intersection of 40 and 231 to Terre Haute. It was a good course. There were hills but they weren't too bad. I only used the small front ring once. I'm really looking forward to July 17th!!!!

i need to focus on training for the ride, i haven't put a long ride together since the 1/2 IM. Thanks for scoping the course. I'm thinking i will do a couple of longish rides (50-75 miles) and then one century prior to the 17th, the only issue is, i have a sprint tri the week before so i'm training for two very different events at the same time. what's your plan look like?

I will probably to a Sprint Tri. this weekend. Was going to do the Olympic distance but my swim is just not there. Other than that I'm open till the 17th. I've been doing group rides and we do a lot of hills. The area around Bloomington is very hilly as you may know. The distances are usually around 25 to 30 miles. The 70 miles yesterday is my longest ride that I've done. I'd really like to get a century ride in before the RAIN. I feel like I've got enough gas in my tank to get the job done but I'd like to know it for sure. My only issue is my hands going numb and a little saddle soreness. I tried to use my aerobars yesterday but I didn't feel stable enough to be comfortable with them. The wind was blowing me all over the place. Get you a couple of longer rides in and you'll be fine.
