Sunday workouts
10-mile run in the pouring rain. I was sure my shoes weighed 5 pounds when I was done, but the scale said only 2.
I really love having friends who never let a little rain get in the way of a good run. 4 of the 12 regulars from our Sunday morning social run were laced up and ready to roll at 7:30 this morning.
So, what did you do today?

Gym opens in a little more than an hour, & I'll be heading there for 20 minutes on the bike and 25-30 minutes in the weight room.

7 miles in what felt like slightly cooler rain forest conditions. Was aiming for 10, but my knee got twitchy and i decided it wasn't worth it.
Followed that with a 1 mile cool down.

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Gotta love the head wind. I was going over 22 mph and averaging over 20mph when I came around the side of the hill and got smacked with the afternoon headwind. That instantly dropped my speed to 15mph I lost 7 mph right there. Then add in the hills and I was hurting.
However it was an improvement over the last time I rode it, because that time I averaged under 15 mph and I had someone to pace myself and draft with. This was a solo ride.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Nothing formal but today is the of the Kids' Tri my club puts on so I was the volunteering. I helped tear apart the metal rental fence and stack it into piles. I figure that was my strength training for the day.
