5k personal record

I was able to run in a local 5k with my three sons (17, 13 and 10)..the girls stayed home except for mom, who cheered me on.  I have a half marathon next weekend and have been trying to get into the groove of the full marathon training for my run this fall, but I still wanted to do well in this one, since my last 5k was back in feb.  At that time, I did it in 29:30.  This time I managed to get it done in 26:40, right around a 8:30 pace.  I am stoked about it, and felt like I could do a lot better - at the end I still felt like I had a lot more I could have pushed.

And.. I was representin the postoppr's... got lots of strange looks at my shirt ;)

WAY TO GO ANDREW!!  I have an 8K next weekend..Can't wait to sport my shirt.

AMAZING TIME!!

I don't think I will ever be that fast....but I'm gonna try to catch up!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
