Exercise = Better mood! Who would have thought?

I have been working out faithfully now for over 4 months.  I've started out spinning 2x a week, I've added weight training 2x a week and I'm working in a 5th day of cardio/weights, plus I ride my bike at night for 5+ miles when I can.

I've noticed things don't get to me so much like they used to.  I've noticed I have more patience with my DH, or maybe he has more patience with me?  Not sure!  But the other day he actually said he noticed that I haven't been so moody.  What a compliment coming from him!!

Besides the benefits I feel with my heart and the strength I've built in my legs, my mood is better and I like it!!!   Maybe all the reports aren't a bunch of bull!

Have a good night all.

Glad you are feeling better and sticking with it. Exercise makes a total difference in my mood, much better at remaining calm and handling stressful situations when I am exercising.

i thought the mood benefits of exercise was a bunch of bull they sold you to try and make you exercise.... right up until I took 4 weeks off to nurse an injury.  Sure, crappy things happened in those 4 weeks, including having an injury, but man, I was miserable!!!!!!!  Crappy things happened before and I didn't fall into the same funk.

When I say I'm happy to be running again, I mean it!

I was actually bummed and in a bad mood when I found out this morning that my gym is closed Memorial Day.  I had this great workout session planned since I will be off.  Guess I'll have to switch to the bike and outdoor running.  Hope it's not too hot here in Alabama on Monday.  Don't you just love those torture spin classes!!!!!  THEY ARE GREAT!
