How do you handle it?

When you were heavier, before your surgery(if you have had surgery) and, say you went out to dinner, or maybe an outing someplace, and you were /are obese. Say you are just trying to enjoy yourself, and you notice that someone makes  a scowl or a disapproving face at you(or maybe a few people do it) and you know that they are doing that because you are overweight, maybe they even make a snarky , even outright rude comment to you, how do you handle it?

Yep. What Dan said. Smile BIG at 'em.

I had that happen only once (that I saw). It was an co-worker...  I walked up to them, planted a big kiss on their cheek, and walked away. Silence.

Now I deal with stupid questions or comments like, "why are you in a grouchy mood..maybe you should go eat a cheeseburger or something!"  My reply "I'm grouchy because you are an @ss...."

OR "Do you have an eatiing disorder now? You are so skinny"  REPLY, "I only eat small children now...they take up less room, and are fewer calories" .

I have little patience for ignorance....
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
