Mamma needs a new pair of shoes!

I'm an Asics girl myself.  And I'm also going to echo other advice - go to a real running store (not a footlocker or equivalent), and have them fit you.  In addition to running on the treadmill under video for them, it's also helpful for you to take them your old shoes so that they can see the wear patterns.  It's worth every penny and more, but surprisingly, I have not found that the shoe prices are that much more than if you were blind shopping on the internet.  And, you can always buy one perfect fit pair there and order another one somewhere else if you find it cheaper.  If you're at goal - congrats.  If you're still on the way down, I'd recommend getting re-fitted each new pair since our feet change with our weight.  Prior to my surgery, I learned that one well with all of my yo-yo weight fluctuations.  At least now mine will be consistantly moving downward!

Thanks for the input everyone!

Mary-I will definately look into Run16. There's also a running shop in Poulsbo. I'm not sure if either of them use the treadmill/video routine, but I will check into it.

I definately know that my feet have shrunk, and are narrower. I'm hoping that I can get fitted for a pair that have wings   or at least will be a bit lighter on the pavement.

Thanks again!

Kathy

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
