Ok, i signed up for the 2011 Goofy Challenge in early January next year.  Anybody interested in running it with me?  My father is joining me for the marathon piece, but sitting out the half.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

My mom did the 2010 race (where it was sleeting and raining the whole time) but she really enjoyed.  Someday I want to do it too but I won't be ready next year.  I want a few marathons under my belt before I attempt that.

But kudos to you!!! What an awesome challenge!

Bill, I've got it on my wish list for 2011.  I just don't know if /we can afford it.  I'll need to check the costs.  Disney is my wife's favorite place in the world.  I know she'd do the half but I want to do both...go big or go home right?

I've been thinking about doing the half...along with everyone else, it depends upon $$..

This sounds like so much fun, but I am not at a place where I can keep up with those times. I will for sure work on this and maybe I will be close for 2011, but will be all set for 2012.

I live about an hour and a half from Disney, but just in case anyone is looking to go there is a great place to stay that is just down the street from Disney. It is a Timeshare type place, but you can also book units like a hotel. They have one, two and three bedroom units all with full kitchens. I have stayed here and the place is nice. If you get on their e-mail list they will send you specials from time to tome.

Good luck to anyone taking part in this race, or any for that matter! It still amazes me what you all are doing as post-ops!

If I'm not mistaken Scott did the Goofy Challenge last year or the year before.

When I did the full in '07 I was envious of all the people walking around with the goofy medals. The day I got home, I signed up for the Goofy in '08. I also did it again in '09. As with most everyone else, if I had the $ I'd go back next year but probably do the 5K and or half. I have the reports for all my Disney races on the link in my signature.
