Running Form Tips - What works for you

Last time I trained for the marathon I was concerned about the distance. Now I know I can do the distance (of course assuming the proper training takes place!).

Now I want to focus on my form and become a better runner. I'm starting to focus on my breathing and trying to develop a rhythm and get comfortable enough with it that it becomes second nature.

Any tips on this? Any other form suggestions that you've found made a difference for you?

Thanks in advance for the tips!

Hey Mary.
What I usually do is match my breathing to my steps. I will breathe in for three steps and out for three steps. If I am starting to feel a side stitch comming then I swich it to three and two to get out of the rhythm.

I also try to keep my head from bobbing around too much. The less up and down you do, the more efficient you are. With that being said, watch Paula Radcliff run. She is all screwed up and it apparantly works for her.

Good luck
Scott
