running WOW

I often use mapmyrun.com to figure out mileage if I've done a new route.  I also almost always time my runs, if for no other reason than to have an estimate of how far I've gone (it's only been 10 minutes???). LOL

I mapped my route from the other night and threw in the time.  Turns out I ran a 9:25/mile pace (3.5 mile run)!!!!  Holy crap!  Explains why my lungs were a little exploding.  ;)  I guess my speed has picked up on its own, cuz I sure wasn't trying to go any faster than my usual 10:30 pace.

whoohoo!  Now I'm really looking forward to my 5K next week!

Whoaa!!! what a great thing! running a pace that you haven't even notice that increases is a great thing to know. And it surely boosts our self-esteem thinking that we have done something that we didn't even expect!

Nice Job! I use mapmyrun.com as well, and track and time my routes.  Great time! Good luck on your 5K next week!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
