First Half Marathon.........
Well I'm too exhausted to write a full report but it was a fantastic and emotional experience. I had no expectations other than finishing, but because of the advice from the Pace Leaders Group at the Expo on Saturday at the Cleveland Rite Aid Half/Full Marathon, I decided to go with a pace group and the morning of the race I moved up a group and wore two wristbands............
I did run everything but the water stops..........and truth be told, my longest prior run was literally 6.2 miles in training...............but I do workout six days a week and obviously that helped, although not sure how...........
Here's my finish, details about the race and what an emotional high it was to come later.

OMG! This is awesome!!! And what motivation to read right after running my first 10K (which I did in 1:03:55) I totally want to do a half and reading this was just what I needed to get the ball really rolling. To think you did your half without having ran more than a 10K is soooooooo inspiring!!!! That's where mental strength TOTALLY comes into play. You go girl!!!

Yep, it's a mental game. Saw the chiro and other than my IT band being really, really tender, I was in great shape. How awesome is THAT!!!! He didn't give me my full IT workup I'm going to see him again Fri so I can do my 8 mile long run on Sat!!!
On to the next one............September 18. Time? I don't know but I gotta make it a PR! It may be much hotter so I will adjust my expectations for that if it is when the time comes. If it's cold and rainy, I'll be G-REAT! Here in Dayton mid-Sep can be 92 or 52............:-)

WAY TO GO!
Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning inAfrica , a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
