Well, after 2 months off, I was finally able to run with no pain in my foot!!
I've had this tri on my schedule for a year and there was no way I was missing it!
Apparently, all my training is paying off because I was able to shave almost 15 minutes off my time from last year! What a great way to start the triathlon season!
Finished 5th overal (small field) and 2nd in my age group.

Edited to add time: Run: 20:06
                                   bike: 45:14
                                   Swim: 8:45
                                 Total: 1:16:23

Congrats.........triathlon..........still makes me shudder.  Not ready!

That's a huge improvement!  I hope I can progress like that with running............I'll start with the splash n dash next year.  A bike is not in my near future.

Very impressive!!!  Nice job, and good luck on the rest of your season!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
