Well, I hhad 2 races this morning. The first was at 8am with a 1 mile open water swim 28:02 (Nice and smooth warm-up. Second race was a 2.4 mile open water swim in 1:14:05. EVEYONE wore their wetsuits, and I did for the short race, but my shoulders were getting tired so I switched out to my sleeveless speed suit for the 2.4. My shoulders were happy  I did, but my time would probably have been 8-9 minutes faster if I had worn my wetsuit. I think I need to get a sleeveless wetsuit and that will be PERFECT!!! What did you do today???

I did the Miles for Moffett Cancer Center 5K here in Tampa. My time was just OK, but I am waiting to get the official time from my chip. It was HUMID this morning and that stunk. I know my time was not a personal best, and I have not made my goal of being able to run the entire thing without stopping to walk, but that is why I am here. I had fun and raised money for a great cause!

Also - note to self (and maybe a laugh for most of you) Don't drink a milk based protein shake in the morning when you are planning to go running... I am sure the milk whatever gathering in my throat didn't help me the entire time (gross)! Lesson Learned!

My time 42:00:3... a little slow, but I thought I took a lot longer than that. again not my best, but I will work on it.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED! My plan was to up my long run to 12 miles today. I was so dragged out the past two days that I rested and watched my nutrition.
I got started later than planned, therefore instead of 50 degree weather, it was closer to 70. BIG DIFFERENCE...ARGH!!!

At mile 8 today, my right foot - the top- was screaming! I managed to make my 10.46 miles, about 6 minutes slower than my PR on this route.  I had to jog/crawl/limp the last mile, and decided I better listen to my foot and call it a day.

Very disappointed, but when I look at my pace, even with the pain, I figure I can still do my Half in under 2:45.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Had to work over today and didn't get off in time to get to the gym, they close at 2:00 on Saturday. Argh. I'll probably head out for a walk in a little while.
