Saw the Dr. today
I am just back from seeing my Dr. As I suspected, my band was too tight; I had an unfill of 2 cc's. The Dr also said that I have a hiatal hernia. The plan at the moment is to try and maintain my weight loss even though my band is not as tight. If the reflux does not get any better, I will have to go for surgery.
Discipline has to be on the list now. With an unfill of 2cc's, and not having eaten solid food for 6 weeks, the temptation will no doubt rear its ugly head! I must stay strong and focused.
I want to thank all of you here who have been so supportive during this difficult time. I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers. This group is the best: you guys ROCK!

So glad that you have the final diagnosis! My grandma, in her younger days, had a hiatal hernia repair, which was a same day surgery gig. It cured her acid reflux instantly.

Andrew, if you are in need of a fill, you should definitely get one. Bandster hell is a dark, nasty place to be. I believe my situation was just an unfortunate series of events. I did have acid reflux prior to weight loss surgery. The positioning of my band may be causing the issue. The Dr. said that if I have an increase in weight, they may need to reposition my band. I would still get the band if I had to do it all over again.

Looks like I picked a good night to poke my head back in from my first visit.
Glad they found a possible resolve to the problem, and hopefully the hernia can be dealt with quickly and easily if needed at all
