Thanks all - and yes I have a plan

OK....so I didn't get a chance to respond to all of you the last time I posted, but I did read responses and did listen to all of the great advice.  And thanks for the warm welcome at the same time.

So setting goals - something obvious but something I haven't been doing.

Short term goals:  gym 3 x week for EITHER a spin class or weights.  I know myself to know if I attempt to get into a full routine now I will burn myself out and fall into the same rut.

Get back with my personal trainer for one hour sessions weekly

On days NOT at the gym, take the rollerblades out for a minimum of 30 mins

Long term goals:  Become a spin instructor (not because I will USE it as a career...it's just something I want to one day be able to say "I did it")

Potentially run a 5k.  I haven't quite decided on this one - because thus far all my attempts at running (treadmill or otherwise) have failed because I HATE running.  Period.  But there's a disconnect between my mind somewhere with that.  I "want" to do it...just to say I did...but I also understand if I'm truly unhappy with something (IE training for running) I won't stick with it.  We'll see as time progresses.

Get back into my size 2/4 jeans.
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
