Weight Recommandations
I don't think you should worry about what to "Tone" for the race. If you want to become a fast / good runner..... RUN! If you want strength excercises that will help... Lunges, squats, calf raises, dead lifts, shoulder shrugs, push ups, leg presses, leg curls, hamstring curls, etc... Best of luck

Hi Missy,
I'm training for one too but I just don't have a date when one is being held. The way I train is I walk run on the treadmill. I do different speeds and inclines. My trainer says that the best way when your starting out. She also have me doing some weight training. i can check my paper later and write down my workout for you. I have to leave for work soon so look m=for my message later. I hope it helps.

Any strength training will help your run. I always get faster when I get stronger.
