Skechers Shape ups?
I think it is a funny gimic and a terrible looking shoe
. I am waiting for the next Shape Up commercial to show a guy with 3% body fat with a ripped washboard stomach attribute his success to those shoes. Have a great mornin!

Dan you just ruined my day. I canceled my gym membership and decided to quit running because of these shoes. And then you say they are ugly too ??? Come on man !!!!! Seriously though it is just another bogus marketing idea to get people to think there is an easy way to lose weight without the effort needed.
No longer about weight , it's all about living.
You know what, if they get you out and get you moving, then they are great, but I don't think they are going to do anything for you that regular shoes can't
At least it isn't as bad as the Shake Weight.
OMG I can't believe someone would endorse that.

I'm running out and buying one for my wife right now!!!!!

They work well for some people with feet and / or back issue. That's to say, they are more comfortable than regular sneakers for them.
But there is no way they are going to tone up your muscles as much as going to the gym. If you are really out of shape, they may tone a little but very quickly your muscles will have gotten what they can get out of them and then there is no way to increase the load in order to get to the next level. At the gym, you can go to a higher weight or use a different machine. You can't do the equivalent with a shoe.

Of what I have heard they are for real...When I see someone wearing them, I'll ask them how they feel. Usually it is positive. Big price tag...But for me as a security guard who is on my feet a lot, I would like to try a pair. Some times I walk 4-5 miles a shift...including stairs!! So yeh...it can make a difference. If I wasn't doing security I would wait for the cheap knock offs to come along. Brian
