Happy Mother's Day!

Hard to believe it's mid-May and I had to bundle up for my Mother's Day run.  There were snow flakes in the air for my 7.3 mile run today.  The 32-degree temperature was quite a contrast to last Sunday's run when we were all complaining about the heat and humidity.

Gotta love Upstate New York weather.

8.6 miles today!!

Each time I up my mileage that half marathon next month seems sooo much more do-able.  I wasn't totally spent after today's run which is good, but I didn't want to pu**** and risk an injury.  My average pace was 11:08....and I held it pretty steady after I got into my groove at about mile 2.5.

11.3 miles for me today.  Working toward a half at the end of the month.  I hope the weather for it is just like today -nice and cool!

I did about 2.4 miles through the mean streets of Hartford. More tired than I have ever been in my life. Baby is out. Mom and baby are fine after a day of turmoil.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Swam 1.2 miles in a lake. It was a *****oppy and rained on the way home. But I was happy because I did it in around 47 min. so my fast time at Wildflower last weekend was not a fluke!
