Getting ready to head out on a 100 mile bike ride.
Should be o.k., the only question is how my shoulder will hold up on hill climbing, when I have to get up out of the saddle.  Pressure on the shoulder is still causing me some occasional pain.

Wish me luck,

Scott

Piece of Sh!% REI discount bike from their online store.  It's all I could afford.
The brand is Diamondback it is a podium2 model

Never again will I buy something cheap just to get started.  I was so fired up to ride and do triathlons and this was the only bike I could afford.  Since then I have replaced poor quality parts and had to add this and that to the bike.  I should have just waited and saved my money and bought a good bike from the beginning.

Good luck! Will be anxious to hear how the wing holds up!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

It is an official century.
Last week we put on the paid supported century ride for everyone.
If you volunteered, then the club did it again this weekend for everyone that was a volunteer.
We had rest stops with food and facilities at 27, 50, 70, and a big catered bbq at 100 for everyone.

I only made it 50 before the sholder started hurting and at mile 70 both of my legs cramped up on me.  I felt like I was drinking plenty, and I took advantage of the food plus what I had packed.
That being said, I still managed to lose over 7 pounds during the ride.  That's too much.  It should be in the 1-2% range  2% would have been 4 pounds I lost more like 3.5% of my body weight.
It wasn't exceptionally hot so I guess I didn't take in enough fluid.

Here are the ride details
