Well, they announced the folks who won the lottery for The Coveted St George Marathon, and unfortunately, our names were not on the list. They only take 7000 people and had over 11,000 people enter the lottery. Oh well, maybe next year. Time to look for something else around the beginning of October. I would like to do a marathon in preperation for Ironman AZ.... Any suggestions?

I think there is a 50K trail run up this way. (Port Gamble, WA)  Old, wet logging roads. Roots, Rocks, Mud.  FUN TIMES!!!!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

I was wrong. The 50K or 25K is in September.

Here's the link just for grins:

Not sure how they compare to the trail runs you have done down in your neck of the woods.  These back logging roads (where we used to have keggers in high school) are pretty spectacular... Bears, Raccoons, and all!

Ah Danny-boy, just do what I do every other week and run your own marathon! I've got three under my belt in the last 2 months and it's actually pretty satisfying. The kids ride their bikes with me the last three miles and they love it.

Got TRI?
