Yesterday I mentioned that I have been fighting this month with the weight loss...Last month I dropped 13 pounds and this month I have dropped about 4.  Nate asked about my clothes and since he asked I was shocked I had not noticed that they are fitting better.
Now, my question, I work out 5-6 days a week, 3 days of weights and cardio and then 3 days of straight cardio.I feel my workouts are hard, since I come out dripping...  I have only been eating about 700-800 calories, do I need more?

Thanks guys and gals,
Erin

I would slowly add a few in. You are still pretty early out to increase a lot. Maybe add 100 GOOD calories and see if helps with the loss. I am 5 months ahead of you and I get in around 1800-2000 but I make sure I get 125-150g of protein out of it. I probably would lose more if I added in more cals myself but I am afraid of going back to where I was. My bmr x 1.2 puts me at needing 2400 cals a day and I usually burn 1500 to 2000 in my workouts so I am probably at too much of a defecit as well.

Thanks again Nate for posting...you seem to be my helper.  It is hard for me to imagine eating more, I am not really hungry, but I don't want to cut my workouts...I really enjoy all of the stuff I am doing.  I talked to my trainer and he said my body is probably in starvation mode, so I will either add another protein drink, or some turkey for a snack...not sure...what kind of things do you eat?

Thanks again Nate,
Erin

I try to eat mostly protein bars, shakes, salads, beans, and chicken. I keep it simple. I usually add a bannana in b4 the wights for an energy boost.

You need to eat as little as you can and still have the energy to do your workouts. Let's put it this way: if your workout at level X, you'll lose more weight if you eat 800 calories than if you eat 1000. The only reason to up your calories is so that you can workout better/harder/more.

When I was losing, my calories were tied to my protein intake. So, as I worked out more, I ate more protein, and that would raise my calories up a little, but not as much as my harder workouts were burning.
