Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Tonight, I did my first time trial with the local cycling club.  My 16 mph pace for the 10 miles earned me last place, but I figure riding with the big boys and girls will only make me faster.   The course has some pretty steep hills, so it'll also make me stronger.

With warm-up and cool-down, the total ride was 17 miles.

I did a 5 K on the TM at the YMCA while my daughter was in hip hop. Another good run; no back pain and felt good the whole time. I go back to the physical therapist on Thursday afternoon. I hope he will authorize increasing the miles up to 5. I am going to do 4.5 on Thursday morning before work. and see how that goes; I did about that last Friday and felt great.
